covid shadow pranking
Like for most of us, the present covid-19 situation forces us to stay busy in new and creative ways. In early spring my son constructed wooden planter boxes and garden beds for me. I have had the pleasure to grow my own greens. I found ceramic and metal pots in the shed I had forgotten about. So now I have flowers in pots, herbs in boxes and vegetables in beds.
Everywhere I go my cellphone accompanies me - on all my walks, to my studio and in my backyard.
We have been fortunate with some amazing sunny days here in Vancouver and I enjoyed being outside. Where there is sunshine, there are shadows. I have always been fascinated by shadows, especially the ones that sneak up on me, follow me and won’t leave me alone. That day in my backyard I danced with my shadow. The two of us had loads of fun.
Stay safe and get creative!
